2. Data We Collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • Email address and newsletter/VIP subscription status.
  • Newsletter signup timestamp, email verification status, and related timestamps.
  • IP address and browser/user agent information for security, bot protection, fraud prevention, payment dispute handling, and evidence of VIP terms acceptance.
  • Cookie and consent preferences, when analytics or marketing tools are enabled.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile verification logs used to protect forms against spam and abuse.
  • Stripe payment event data, including payment amount, currency, status, Checkout Session ID, Payment Intent ID, and Stripe Customer ID.
  • VIP reservation status and evidence of accepted VIP terms, including timestamp, IP address, user agent, terms version, and accepted terms text.

We do not store full payment card numbers. Card payments are processed by Stripe.

3. How We Use Data

We use personal data to:

  • Send newsletter updates and launch notifications.
  • Verify email addresses and prevent spam signups.
  • Process VIP reservation payments and confirm VIP status.
  • Add users to the appropriate Brevo mailing lists, including Newsletter and VIP lists.
  • Send transactional and automated emails, including verification and VIP status emails.
  • Protect the website, detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, and handle payment disputes.
  • Comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate the website and project:

  • Stripe for payment processing.
  • Brevo for email, newsletter, VIP lists, and email automation.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection.
  • Google Tag Manager for consented analytics and marketing scripts, including planned Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and Kickstarter tracking.
  • YouTube for embedded videos.
  • BoardGameGeek and Kickstarter as outbound links.

These services may process data according to their own privacy policies.

5. Cookies And Tracking

We use necessary technologies for security and core website functionality. Analytics and marketing tools are used only according to your consent choices where required. You can accept all optional cookies, reject them, or choose preferences in the consent banner.

We currently plan to use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and Kickstarter tracking through Google Tag Manager. We do not currently plan to use other tracking providers.

6. Legal Bases

Where GDPR applies, we process personal data based on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Consent, for newsletter subscriptions and optional analytics/marketing cookies.
  • Performance of a contract or steps before a contract, for VIP reservations and related transactional communications.
  • Legitimate interests, for security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, troubleshooting, and payment dispute handling.
  • Legal obligations, for tax, accounting, and compliance requirements.

7. Data Retention

  • Newsletter and VIP email records are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion, unless we must retain data for legal reasons.
  • VIP payment records, Stripe/Brevo references, and VIP terms acceptance records may be kept for up to 7 years.
  • Turnstile verification logs are kept for up to 90 days.
  • Cookie consent preferences may be kept for up to 12 months or until you clear browser storage.

8. Your Rights

Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability of your personal data. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in our emails. California residents may have additional privacy rights where applicable.

Our service providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
